CYCLE THE NATION
is a 100% volunteer effort with all funds raised going directly to charity.
The idea behind Cycle the Nation came in 1992 as a simple idea to raise funds for childrens’ charities – the mission is to raise as much money as possible for the designated charities.
Since 1993, the various Cycle the Nation campaigns have raised over AUD$450,000.00 for various charities by cycling the entire length of Japan and Malaysia, rowing around part of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands, running the London marathon, and cycling the first leg of Cycle the Nation Australia from Brisbane to Townsville via the Central Highlands.
HOW YOU CAN HELP...
Since 2019, Cycle the Nation has been touring Australia, raising much needed funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Through your donations, and the generousity of our sponsors and donors, we are able to continue helping the Starlight Children’s Foundation support hospitalised children, and their families, worldwide.

CHARTERS TOWERS TO CAMMOOWEAL
Our cyclists are on a mission to cycle around Australia, stage-by-stage, year-by-year.
In 2019, cyclists Ray Choong and Robert Gemmell completed Stage One by cycling 1,642kms from Brisbane to Townsville via the Central Highlands. Due to COVID we’ve had a short break, but we’re back and ready for Stage Two in mid-2023 with more riders and bigger fundraising goals.
Starlight Children's Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in 1982 for hospitalized children and their families. Starlight programs offer entertainment, education, and technology to critically, chronically, and terminally ill children and has provided support to more than 60 million children worldwide.
Starlight’s mission is simply to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, teenagers, and their families. Starlight helps sick kids simply be kids by turning pain, fear and stress into fun, joy, and laughter.
